This volume contains select papers from the 9th AINET International Conference, Sonipat, held on 15-17 January 2026. Arranged in two sections, Chronicles of Research and Chronicles of Lived Experience, the papers show how fresh ideas, careful inquiry, and everyday classroom practice feed one another. The first section has papers reporting enquiries into various aspects of English teachers’ work. The second section include stories from reflective teachers on their experiments and learnings told in a more informal way. The chapters in the volume reflect a decisive move away from rigid, monolingual habits toward approaches that are flexible, multilingual, and centred on the learner.
