Description

This is the story of an unconventional Indian couple who defies the barriers of language, culture, and religion when a romantic attraction happens between them. But can such a marriage be successful without a strong woman and an understanding husband? Lilly believed that life is too short to be wasted on other people's opinions and to live according to orthodox beliefs and customs. How will the different stages of life affect Lilly? Will she come out stronger or will she crumble under the weight and expectations of her new family?

About the Author

Lilly was born in Southern India in the beautiful tropical state of Kerala-married to a man from Northern India who was born in Uttar Pradesh and lives in the United States. She tries to understand the different facets for enjoying a successful marriage in all the possible aspects with the influence of families, cultures, and religious backgrounds that a couple has to handle when two souls unite from two different states of India. Lilly loves to tell stories and thinks homemakers need to be valued. She believes many extramarital affairs do not happen if we understand the basis of the attraction. Lilly stresses on the fact that the main reason why women lookout for love outside marriage is when their spouse begins to take them for granted and there is a lack of emotional support from her spouse that can tempt one or at least approach someone elsewhere which may lead to an affair. A woman in most cases seeks emotional compatibility and unconditional love over the physical traits and talents of a man. She has done a great job of mixing her memories and emotions to study human relationships. What helped save her marriage is her determination to search for answers for what went wrong. Lilly writes about three men whom she met in the different stages of her life and how she learned the intricacies of the human mind.
