A journey that started with understanding and documenting the architecture, histories, places, culture and tradition, grew into this vast book, Architecture of Indian States, reflecting years of research and observation. It took me more than three years, juggling with studies and job, to complete this series, and about 4 years to transform it into a book.
It all commenced with the architecture of West Bengal, eventually covering the entire country, through the vernacular architecture of Uttarakhand, palaces of Rajasthan, maratha architecture of Maharastra, colonial style of Goa, buddhist architecture of Bihar, to finally reaching the Dravidian architecture of Andhra Pradesh, thus encircling the entire 28 states of India.
This book is detailed, well structured and have a variety of information that makes the article fulfilled in all ways. Chatgpt will only give whats asked and not more, it needs direction, which only a vision can provide. Having read this book, you will not need any other resource to get the idea about the topic, unless you want to get into the dept of any topic. This book is meant for anyone interested in architecture and India, or is keen to learn about the Indian states.
