Her schooling and life’s foundation was from Children’s Garden High School, Chennai. She is a post- graduate in Social work and graduated in Sociology from the University of Madras. She is a rank holder in both the above. She is a proud Stella Marian and Madras School of Social Work alumnus.

She has worked as a counselor at T.T. Ranganathan Clinical Research Foundation, Chennai, during its formation stages. She worked as an Assistant Professor in a Bhilai college for a brief tenure and has passed the National Eligibility Test for Lecturership.

She is a home -maker by choice and enjoys writing. She has been happily married for 33 years and is blessed with a daughter and a son.
