The book covers the complete five-unit syllabus, including Python fundamentals, variables, data types, operators, string manipulation, conditional statements, loops, functions, lists, tuples, dictionaries, NumPy arrays, file handling, Pandas, data cleaning, data manipulation, and data visualization using Matplotlib.

Pharmaceutical and healthcare-oriented examples are incorporated throughout the book, including dosage calculation, BMI calculation, pharmacokinetic study datasets, adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports, concentration-time curves, ADR reporting rates, and dissolution profiles.

The book also introduces students to Jupyter Notebook, PyCharm, VS Code, pharmaceutical data analysis, structured healthcare datasets, CSV and Excel files, data inspection, handling missing values, filtering, grouping, aggregation, and scientific interpretation of graphical results.

Ms. Anjali Patil, M. Pharm., is an Assistant Professor at YSPM’s Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli, Maharashtra. She has 3 international research publications and 2 patents to her credit. Her areas of interest include Python, pharmacology research, and pharmacological model development.

Ms. Sneha Jadhav, M. Pharm., is an Assistant Professor at Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli, Maharashtra, with 2.5 years of teaching experience in pharmacy education. Her academic interests include pharmacology, pharmaceutical research, and scientific writing. She has 5 research publications in national and international journals.

Mr. Vikram Potdar, M. Pharm., is an Associate Professor and Vice-Principal (Administration) at YSPM’s Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli, Maharashtra. He has 18 years of teaching experience in pharmacy education. He has qualified the GRE and GATE examinations and has 11 international research publications and 4 patents to his credit.

Mr. K. Mallikarjuna Reddy, M. Pharm., is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Head of the Pharm. D Department at Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli, Maharashtra. He has over 18 years of teaching experience in pharmacology education and is a registered Ph.D. scholar of JNTU Kakinada. He is a co-inventor of 4 Indian patents and has contributed 4 book chapters to Elsevier and Springer publications, along with 13 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He is the founder of KMR Advice, an Advanced Interactive Learning System for Pharmacy Students.

Dr. K. Venkat, Pharm.D., is an Assistant Professor at YSPM’s Vasantidevi Patil Institute of Pharmacy, Kodoli, Maharashtra. He has been serving in pharmacy education since September 2023. His research contributions include one international research publication and two patents. His academic and research interests include clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, healthcare informatics, and Python programming for pharmaceutical and healthcare applications.
