Description

Sanatan Ayodhya – Volume 2: The Contribution of Vaishnav Bairagi Akharas in the Protection of Ram Janmabhoomi is a research-oriented study of Ayodhya and the historical role of Vaishnav Bairagi Akharas and saints associated with the Ram Janmabhoomi tradition.

The book examines the religious and institutional traditions of Ayodhya, the organization and activities of Vaishnav Bairagi Akharas, and their connection with the history surrounding Ram Janmabhoomi. It brings together documentary, administrative, judicial, published, and oral sources in an effort to present the available evidence in a systematic manner.

Particular attention is given to historical records, legal and administrative documents, archival references, published research, and first-hand oral testimonies. Oral accounts and personal testimonies are identified as such and are not treated as independently verified documentary evidence.

The purpose of this volume is to document and examine the available historical material concerning the contribution of Vaishnav Bairagi Akharas and saints to the Ram Janmabhoomi tradition, while maintaining a distinction between documentary evidence, historical interpretation, and oral tradition.

This volume is intended for researchers, students of Indian history and religious traditions, scholars of Ayodhya, members of the saint community, and readers interested in the documented history of Ram Janmabhoomi and Vaishnav Bairagi traditions.
