Economies today are vast and huge. Every day, exorbitant number of transactions take place in medical world, financial markets, taxation networks, and public domain. These systems are much interconnected, but still most of the times operate in segregated and disseminated fashion. As a result, inefficiencies show up not because of intent but by virtue of the style of their creation.
This book is a result of consolidating some powerful ideas that the writer feels are worth a shot for discussion. Lot of the challenges we relate to behavior may, in fact, be found in systems and practices. When transparency is enforced through audits and inspections, it often shows up too late to prevent inefficiencies or irregularities since it is a detective measure rather than preventive one.
