Have you ever seen playing children from which they draw a great joy? They are yet to be conditioned and they have no separate feeling based on color, caste, creed, race, gender, nationality, religion. They play for hours together and from our point of view are meaningless, non-productive, and waste of time. But they are joyful because they have to goal in end to achieve. Their life is spontaneous and so goalless. Can we live like that with all our knowledge not interfering in the present moment? We can use the past when required but should not dominate the present moment. If it does so we are sleeping in the present moment. Is it possible to live in a sick society and yet we live spontaneously and without a goal. When we do so there is possibility of the artificial psychological center the “me”, ego. If we act from the ego which is a product of thought such action is always incomplete and so leads to conflict, strife, contradiction. As majority humanity act from the ego there is always conflict at any given time. In any action where there is no goal the “doer” is not born. Once “doer” is not there separate feeling is not there and action is total without any conflict and so healthy and action goes on its own. Centering in being should not be lost. You can do small things, you can do big things. It is action per se. Love is action in itself. It is not action based on reward and punishment which is the case in limited action. There is no effort in action without a motive because such action is directionless, you are not a “doer”, you are a watcher. Then there is more clarity, more creativity in whatever you do, you have more vision, whereas in action born out of ego there is direction and so space and time. So action related to time breeds conflict. It is associated with effort and is incomplete. Any time bound action; any directed action with a motive is bound to be incomplete and so results in sorrow, conflict, strife and this obvious in daily life. Action without a goal is not time bound and so free of the music of conflict, strife, contradiction, misery. So can we give a serious thought of living without a cause in a sick society? We have to plan for outer things that are for what mind is meant for. But we are planning the psychological life and in the process we are giving birth to ego and at present all our action is proceeding from the ego which is bound to be limited, so brings sorrow, pain, anxiety, contradiction. Ego is full of self contradictory things and so its action is self contradictory. In self centered action which is “becoming” there is duality and so there is conflict and brain cannot function in perpetual conflict, it becomes neurotic, psychotic, whereas in motiveless action there is no duality and so there is no conflict. We will be surprised how much disorder in life occurs when we function from the ego. The whole human disorder can be pointed to functioning from the ego. There can be no love when we function from the ego which separates human beings. Functioning from ego is “becoming” and when there “becoming” you cannot love fellow human being. A life without love is not worth living. So let us start a new way of life-A life without cause and so with love.
