What happens when a thought refuses to leave?
Loafing Thoughts is a collection of poems born from the quiet spaces between feeling and understanding—where love becomes longing, longing becomes obsession, and obsession slowly teaches you how to find yourself again.
The collection begins at the roots: love, family, desire, dreams, and the idea of the person we hope to find. Then comes the fall—the strange, intoxicating experience of wanting someone, reading meaning into glances and words, and carrying a person long after they have left. Poems such as Yours (Not Mine), Can You Fathom?, Divine Favor, Mr. Wordsmith, and The Colours I Hate wander through that uncertainty, fixation, and ache.
But healing does not arrive neatly.
The middle of the book lives in that uncomfortable space where you know you should let go, yet some part of you still looks back. It is where memories linger, illusions unravel, and the weight of someone slowly becomes the weight you have to learn to put down.
And then, gradually, the poems begin to turn inward.
Loafing Thoughts becomes a story of boundaries, self-respect, acceptance, and reclaiming the self that was lost while choosing someone else. The final poems—As It Was, Here Is a Lesson, Calling Myself Back, Pure and Bold, This Is Love, and The Tale Is Here to Begin—move toward peace rather than simply closure.
