Description

The universe is not made of atoms; it is made of stories.
In the debut of The Fictional Planets series, we gave the wandering spheres voices, turning the cold giants of our solar system into characters with hearts and histories. But no voice sings in a vacuum. To be a planet is to be defined by the "pull" of another—a constant, celestial dance of attraction and distance.

Of Orbits and Oaths is the next step in that cosmic voyage. Moving from the individual to the interconnected, this collection of poetry explores the invisible, magical threads that bind wandering stars. Here, gravity is not a law of physics, but a sacred vow of the heart.

Through lyrical verse and star-crossed themes, this book charts the "space between"—the longing of worlds that can see one another across the dark, yet are fated never to touch. These are poems for the dreamers, the stargazers, and anyone who has ever felt the gravity of another soul pulling them off course.

Inside this collection, you will discover:

Lyrical Verse: Poetry that reimagines astronomical phenomena—eclipses, transits, and retrograde motion—as metaphors for human love and longing.

A Magical Mythos: A continuation of The Fictional Planets series, where the cosmos is a stage for ancient oaths and silent symphonies.

Celestial Art: Evocative illustrations that bring the star-crossed relationships of the planets to life.

Step beyond the known light. Come and hear the promises the planets make when they are sure no one is listening.

About the Author

Pracheta Sarkar, a student of B.Sc Geography (Honours), wants to tell you about the planets and thier relationships with each other in a poetry form. Which will help you to enjoy the essence of poetry and also give you the knowledge of planets.
She is a writer who lives between the lines of a poem and the light of distant stars. With an interesting fascination for the silent stories told by the cosmos, she seeks to make relationships to the cold reaches of space. “Of Orbits and Oaths” is her debut collection, born from late nights spent looking up and wondering what the planets would say to each other if they could finally speak. Through this work, she invites readers to float in the vivid imagination relationships of the fictional panets.
