This is a story of an Air Force officer, Wing Commander Krishnan, a bachelor, who takes the responsibility of his entire household after his "well-off" father's sudden demise. He struggles for money to pay off debts due to deceit and trickery of his father's lieutenant & wiliness of his sister to meet her own ends and to educate her children as dictated by father on his death bed. The story meanders through a vast canvas of characters like his ever-helpful uncle, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh, his undying love for a Lady Doctor of a different religion, his duty towards his niece and nephew, his sorrowing and fragile mother, all culminating in a fairy tale ending.
