Rakesh Dutta is a Software Engineer by profession, working with an American multinational company. Technology has been a large part of his everyday life, but writing has always given him a different way to understand people, emotions, and the small moments that often go unnoticed.

He lives in Kolkata, a city full of conversations, memories, rain, tea stalls, and stories. Many of those ordinary moments became part of the inspiration behind this book.

We Had Everything Except Tomorrow is his first novel. He wrote it for everyone who has ever laughed with friends until midnight, fallen in love in the middle of ordinary days, held on to a conversation a little longer than necessary, or wished that one beautiful moment could simply stay.

Through this book, Rakesh writes about love that grows from friendship, friendships that feel like family, laughter that arrives at the wrong time, and memories that become precious only after we realise they cannot be repeated.
