The book covers the mathematics syllabus of the third semester of the Bachelor’s degree in engineering in most of the universities all over the world. The first chapter includes the main results used in the later discussion. Solutions of algebraic and transcendental equations are outlined in second chapter, while the next chapter deals with linear programming. Chapter 4 includes numerical solutions of ODEs. Chapter 5 deals with curve fitting as well as trapezoidal and Simpson’s rules for approximate areas bounded by plane curves.
