Description
Dear Reader, This book is a collection of things left unsaid. It is a dialogic journey between two distinct voices, navigating the quiet spaces that reside inside love, loss, platonic heartbreak, and self-reclamation. Some things are spoken aloud; others are buried under text threads and roundabouts. But whether in ink or in silence, every word here is an invitation to feel, to grieve, and to eventually release. We hope these pages give you the breathing room to find your own voice. Because, after all, silence speaks too. — Shruti Sharma & Rohan Bhutani
Some friendships begin with a simple conversation. Ours began in the very first week of college. Shruti Sharma & Rohan Bhutani met as classmates, became friends, and somewhere between lectures, canteen conversations, library sessions, endless chai breaks, and last-minute assignment submissions, they made an ambitious promise—to publish a book together before college came to an end. Like most college promises, life got busy. There were exams, deadlines, internships, self-doubt, and moments when the dream felt impossibly far away. But neither the friendship nor the promise was ever forgotten. Four years later, they're finally holding the dream they once spoke about so casually. This book is a collection of emotions, conversations, and reflections inspired by the people they met, the moments they lived, and the lessons they learned along the way. Every page 55 carries a little piece of both of them—and of the journey that shaped them. More than anything, this book is a celebration of friendship. It is proof that some dreams don't need perfect timing—they just need people who keep showing up for each other. And before we leave you with these pages, a quiet little thank you to our tiny corner of college—our so-called group of four, HackOn. For the laughter, the chaos, the endless conversations, the unwavering support, and for making these four years unforgettable. This book carries a little piece of you, too. From two college friends to you—welcome to our story. We hope you find a little of yours within these pages.
