Sangita Iyer is a multi-talented personality. Besides being a wife and a mother, she is an award winning Indo-Canadian filmmaker,holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology and is a certified Positive Psychology Educator. Her short documentary “GuruCool” has been selected in 20 film festivals worldwide and is still in consideration for more. She designs transformational teacher training and train the trainer programs for schools, universities and organizations with a vision of helping individuals and communities thrive by applying scientific principles, strategies and tools of psychological Well-Being. She is a certified Adult Educator and has been an Instructional Designer & a Learning &
Development Expert in the corporate world for more than a decade. She is also a certified Feng Shui Consultant, a Board Member for Basis Education Foundation and has a certificate from the Documentary Filmmaking Institute in Canada. A filmmaker for a cause, her production company “METTLE FILMS was born with a vision of telling simple, yet thought-provoking, insightful & inspirational stories about people, places and events that have social relevance”. Sangita has also been a national field hockey player, is an avid reader and an animal lover. Most recently she has added children’s book author to her list of accomplishments. In her new collection of books, she introduces various concepts of well-being in a way that resonates with young readers. Her 10-year-old daughter who is extremely passionate about
art provided all the illustrations for the book. The mother-daughter duo created this series in memory of the family's yellow Labrador Retriever who passed away in 2020.
