Description

The text of this prayer was taught to the author by Prophet Muhammad (PBH) in a 'muraqaba', when he was in distress due to opposing wind that did not let his ship sail for over a week in the Nile, when the time of Haj pilgrimage was coming closer. On learning the prayer, he called the captain to unfurl the flag, whereupon the wind blew in the right direction and he made his Haj pilgrimage in time.

About the Author

The author of Hizbul Bahar Imam of the tariqat, Qutb-ul-Aqtab Hazrat Shaikh Sayid Abul Hasan Shazli (RA) belonged to Egypt and set on sail in a ship for performing Haj pilgrimage. Due to unfavourable wind direction, his ship could not sail and was drifted to the shore for over a week. Meanwhile the time of Haj pilgrimage was approaching fast.
