Our connections with the world around us establish a unique relationship with the universe. We connect to our memories through a childhood toy or a book that was an integral part of our growing-up years. A sapling or a rose that bloomed in the backyard of our house, the sunrays that tickled us through the window and woke us up, the rainbow that enchanted us, or the playground which takes us back to our school days .... life is a network of relationships with nature, fellow beings, and those inanimate objects that established an emotional connect with the surroundings.
Whether it was the little brother who held your hand for support, the supportive elder brother who guided you through the hard days, the house that held fond memories of your family or the kitchen that turned you into a master chef... life has taken us through multitudinous relationships from family to school through a journey into new relationships through marriage, work, profession.
Our journey through life is never alone, if it is not kith and kin, it is memories that become our companions. We relate to those memories through human relationships or objects close to our hearts. Nature holds us close to its bosom and comforts us when we are in pain. Isn't it a wonderful relationship that we share with nature?
