Before Liberation — Volume I
There is a question you have been carrying for a long time.
You may not have named it yet. You may have mistaken it for restlessness, or dissatisfaction, or the vague and persistent feeling that the life you are building — carefully, correctly, by every definition you were given — does not quite fit the person who is building it.
This book does not answer that question.
It does something more honest than that. It sits with you inside it.
Before Liberation is a collection of ten philosophical stories, each one entering a different room of the human experience — birth, identity, loneliness, fear, desire, anger, love, society, ego, and truth. Each story follows a single character to the edge of what they believed about themselves, and watches what happens when the believing stops.
The writing does not comfort. It does not resolve. It illuminates — slowly, precisely, the way dawn illuminates, not at a single moment but gradually, until you realize you can see things you could not see before.
This is not a book about finding yourself. It is a book about questioning everything you were told you were — before you are old enough to have asked.
It was written for the person who has started to feel the crack in the floor of the life they were given. For the young adult who is performing a version of themselves that fits every definition except the one that matters. For anyone standing at a door they did not know existed, unsure whether to push it open.
Before Liberation does not tell you what is on the other side.
It only tells you that the door is real.
And that you are not the first person to stand in front of it.
Volume I of an ongoing series. Volume II — exploring loss, grief, faith, doubt, consciousness, and the slow approach of meaning — is forthcoming.
