About the Author

Skanda is a young writer, poet, and Kathak dancer whose work explores memory, growing up, identity, and the quiet emotions that often go unnamed.

A lifelong lover of words and stories, she has participated in literary events organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and has received second position in an English declamation competition.

When she isn't writing, she can often be found dancing Kathak, embroidering, reading, or playing the guitar.

Echoes I Chose to Keep is her first book, a collection of reflections and poems shaped by the experiences, questions, memories, and feelings that have stayed with her.

She writes to give words to the things that are sometimes difficult to say aloud, and to preserve the echoes that might otherwise have been forgotten.
