Description

India's technology sector employs over five million professionals. Artificial intelligence is now automating the work that built those careers — and the pace is accelerating faster than most people realise.

The Last Safe Job is a practical guide for IT professionals, GCC employees, BPO workers, and business services staff across the Indian subcontinent who want an honest answer to the question everyone is quietly asking: Is my job safe?

Written by a global technology executive with thirty years of experience on both sides of the hiring decision, this book goes beyond headlines and theory. It profiles fifty roles across IT services, GCCs, and BPO — ranking each by AI displacement risk, identifying the skills that matter now, and providing a concrete ninety-day action plan for every reader.

No motivational platitudes. No vague advice to "learn AI." Just specific, actionable guidance for professionals who want to protect their income, build new skills, and position themselves for the decade ahead.

Your career is not over. But the window to prepare is open now — not later.

About the Author

Srini is a global technology executive with more than thirty years of experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformation across healthcare, manufacturing, and global technology services.

He began his career as a Principal Consultant, where he directed ERP strategy, solution architecture, and implementation for large enterprise clients across diverse industries. He then spent seventeen years at a Fortune 300 Company, where he established and scaled the company’s first global operations hub in Hyderabad, integrating IT, finance, supply chain, procurement, and engineering into a unified worldwide support model. That center, which he built from the ground up, became one of the most consequential GCC establishments of its era, creating hundreds of high-value roles for Indian professionals and demonstrating what an AI-era GCC can aspire to deliver.

Most recently, he served as Country Head / Vice President of Information Technology at a Fortune 100 company, where he oversaw enterprise portfolios spanning digital products, software engineering, enterprise automation, data engineering, business intelligence, EHR support, and infrastructure operations. He has also served as a strategic CIO advisor to Fortune 100 leadership teams and as founder of a boutique consulting firm, a digital transformation advisory practice.
