Early Childhood Education Practical is designed to provide postgraduate
students with structured opportunities to connect theoretical knowledge with
professional practice in early childhood settings.
The manual adopts an observation-based, experiential, reflective, and child-
centred approach. It provides structured formats for preschool observation,
classroom analysis, teacher-child interaction, learning-material evaluation,
child observation, case study, curriculum planning, daily lesson planning,
teaching-learning material development, and reflective evaluation.
The practical experiences are informed by the principles of NEP 2020 and the
National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS), 2022,
particularly their emphasis on holistic development, play-based and activity-
based learning, inquiry, inclusion, and developmentally appropriate
experiences.
The manual is intended to develop not only practical skills but also the
student's capacity for observation, analysis, reflection, professional judgement,
and evidence-informed practice.
