Original Author’s Acquaintance
Sukumar Ruj, the renowned Bengali language writer and original author of 150 flash fiction stories:
Born in 1963, the author studied Physics. Over the years, he has written numerous poems, stories, novels, and essays. To date, 33 books have been published. Some notable works include:

The author received the Rabindra Nath Tagore Award from Asam in 2022 for his novel "Machine Age Dot Com" (Assamese translation). He has also received numerous awards and honours from various institutions in India, Bangladesh, and the USA. Two of his stories have been included in the postgraduate syllabus of Ranchi University. Two films, "Stethoscope" and "Comrade," have been made based on his stories. Several of his plays have been broadcast on All India Radio and staged. He has participated in various literary programs on Akashvani Kolkata and Kolkata Doordarshan.

Amalendu Mitra is an English-language writer, storyteller, essayist, novelist and poet. He has recently received the Jibanananda Memorial Award from the Bangla Academy and the Subodh Sarkar Honour for his transcreation and translation of the late novelist Manik Bandyopadhyay's work in the book Manik's Masterpieces. He also works as a freelance writer for leading publishers, creating children's fairy tales, folktales, mythologies, thrillers, detective stories, mysteries, suspense, adventure, ghost stories and more. Further fairy-tale collections, 150 Flash Fictions book and hair-raising storybooks are in the pipeline.
