What happens when Destiny decides to interfere?

I am Destiny.
I shape lives, influence circumstances, and occasionally create a little more confusion than necessary. Time, my constant companion, is usually there to make sure things keep moving—even when I would rather, they didn't.
This time, I have two people in my sights.
Some weird things start happening to them. But of course, I know what is happening.
Well, ahem, at least, I think I do.
The problem with interfering in human lives is that people have a remarkable habit of doing things you never expected.
And sometimes, even Destiny has to wait and see what happens next.
