About the Author

First and foremost, I’m the father of Ira—she’s my biggest motivation and my daily reminder to keep things simple, curious, and grounded.

Professionally, I bring 12+ years of experience across wealth management, risk, and consulting—working at institutions like Citi, Major Swiss banks, HDFC Bank, and worked as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Aditya Birla Finance Ltd.

I was awarded CFA charter in 2025 and i am also a certified Financial Risk Manager. I did my MBA from Sydenham Mumbai in 2016.

What makes my journey a bit unique is that I’ve operated on both sides—managing HNI client portfolios and also building the technology and data platforms that support investment and risk decisions.

I’ve worked as a Product Owner and Business Analyst delivering large-scale platforms in areas like ESG investing, climate risk, and FRTB market risk, while also having hands-on experience managing wealth portfolios, structured products, and client relationships.

So I don’t just understand the “what” of financial products—I understand the “why” from both the client and technology perspective.

Outside of work, I genuinely enjoy teaching in colleges—it helps me break down complex finance into something practical and relatable. I also play badminton to stay competitive (at least in my head), and I have a strong interest in perfumes—I believe a good fragrance, like a good strategy, should be subtle but leave a lasting impact.
