The Fixed Variables

Fixed Variables is a novel about Aris Thorne, an astrophysicist who has a terrible week. His car is destroyed by a meteor, his five-year research project gets cancelled, and his dog Comet mysteriously disappears.

The only clue Comet leaves behind is a strange coin — one that Aris recognizes from an old photograph of his grandfather taken in 1974. That connection is what pulls him into the story’s central mystery.

The novel follows Aris as he investigates the coin, his grandfather’s forgotten past, and what it all means — slowly forcing a man who only trusts logic to consider that some things can’t be explained by logic alone.
