Ordinary Delusion is a warm comedy with a conscience about thirteen fictional people who meet on a platform called LIFE.
A teacher in Bangalore. A pediatric doctor in São Paulo. A researcher in Helsinki. An engineer in London. An author. A musician. A lawyer in Washington DC. A professor at Oxford. And the social entrepreneur who, on an ordinary Tuesday over leftover rice, has a small thought: these people should know each other.
They show up. Every Tuesday. With chai that is almost right, notebooks that are always full, water pressure at 94.7 percent, music that knows something before they do, and questions that are still becoming answers.
Through twenty-two chapters and two parts — Life Is and Life Is Good — they move toward a quiet recognition: life is good not because nothing is hard, but because even when things are hard, the small things are still there. The Thursday call. The twelve seconds of quiet at the end of a song. The room that stays open.
This is the comedy of recognition. You will finish laughing and feel: that is a little bit me, is it not. And the answer is yes. It is a little bit all of us.
Welcome to LIFE. The room is always open. Come in.
