Description

For the space between what was and what comes next.

A reflective, first person exploration of career pauses, identity, restlessness, and the quiet emotional work of being in between roles. Written from inside unemployment, not after it, the book focuses on the lived experience of losing structure and certainty, and slowly finding steadiness again. This is not a jobsearch guide. It’s a companion for the pause itself.

No advice. No urgency. Just support for the space you’re in.

Th Appendix section includes a short, thoughtfully designed workbook to use alongside the book or on its own.

It includes:

Gentle journaling prompts
Small daily anchor exercises
Reflection pages on identity beyond work
Tools to understand restlessness without fixing it
Space to notice what this phase is teaching you
Nothing to complete. Nothing to rush. Just enough structure to support you while you’re here.

The book offers reflection.
The workbook offers gentle structure.

Together, they create something you can return to at your own pace, without pressure, urgency, or the expectation that you need to “figure things out” quickly.
