Personality development and soft skills play a significant role in shaping an individual's personal, academic, social, and professional life. In the present educational context, students are expected not only to acquire subject knowledge but also to develop self-confidence, effective communication, emotional intelligence, leadership abilities, ethical values, and interpersonal competence. These qualities enable them to face challenges, establish meaningful relationships, work collaboratively, and contribute positively to society. Recognising the importance of these competencies in higher education, the present book, Personality Development and Soft Skills, has been prepared in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) syllabus prescribed by the Department of Education, Bongaigaon University, for the second semester under the paper EDN-SEC-202, Education, offered as a Major and Minor course.
