Dr. Satish Patel has been actively contributing to Gujarat Vidyapith since 1997, with expertise spanning ICT, System Management, E-Governance, E-Commerce, Data Analytics, and Technology Management for Sustainable Rural Development. Throughout his career, he has taught a variety of courses including "Computer Application," "Management Information System," "Technology Management," and "ICT." His contributions extend to the design of significant academic programs like "MRM, MBA (Rural Management)" and "BRS (RPD)." He is an accomplished author, with 10 books, 12 book chapters, and more than 60 articles published in national and international journals. He has led 16 research and consultancy projects and successfully supervised 100+ PG, 6 M.Phil and 7 Ph.D. research students. Additionally, he has presented over 25 research papers at various conferences and seminars.

Dr. Satish Patel has actively contributed to NAAC assessments and served as a member of the university's and department's IQAC teams. He also holds positions as a nodal officer for various institutional initiatives, including AICTE, NIRF, AISHE, UBA, KCG, and various ICT committees at Gujarat Vidyapith. He serves on the Board of Studies for the Rural Studies department at VNSGU. His contributions have been recognized with awards such as the "Vikaspedia Content Contributor & Innovator Award" from C-DAC, India, and the "Perennial Assistance Award" from the UBA Cell IIT & HRD Ministry. He has been responsible for designing and maintaining ICT infrastructure, including the wireless network, and overseeing the management of the computer centers at Sadra and Randheja, from 1997 to 2024.
