shaping the future of learning. This edited book brings together a collection of diverse undergraduate

The chapters featured in this volume entitled “Education and Social Development: Anthology of
Undergraduate Research Projects" showcase the culmination of undergraduate research projects of
fifteen B.El.Ed. student -teachers of School of Education, K.R Mangalam University, Gurugram,
Haryana, completed under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Tania Gupta, Dean, School of Education, K.R
Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana under Course SEED492A: Research Project II (Educational
Issue). The aspiring researchers explore critical aspects of education through the lens of their unique
projects. The research projects were assigned to meet the requirements of the course curriculum of
B.El.Ed. as well as motivate the student-teachers to undertake research publications on social
development issues pertinent to education. Thus, emerged this collaborative research initiative under
MoU between K.R Mangalam University and Social Development and Research Foundation (SDRF),
India.
The richness and diversity of topics covered in these chapters offer a comprehensive view of the
educational spectrum, ranging from the impact of technology on mathematics education to the
exploration of inclusive practices and the integration of experiential learning.
The contributors embark on a journey through various facets of education, with each chapter presenting
a distinct exploration of key themes. From examining the effectiveness of digital learning platforms and
the role of gamification in teaching to understanding the dynamics of internship experiences and the
influence of environmental studies, the chapters collectively contribute to the ongoing discourse on
educational practices, policies, and philosophies.
The inclusion of diverse projects on topics such as menstrual hygiene management, foundational
literacy and numeracy skills, and the educational philosophy of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam reflects the
interdisciplinary nature of education. These projects not only offer valuable insights into specific
domains but also contribute to the broader conversation on how education can be tailored to meet the
evolving needs of learners in the 21st century.
