Description

The second volume of the book ―Gandhi Invoked is a continuance of my journey towards discovering the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi. Whereas the first volume focused on the topics like Non-cooperation, The History of Bread Labour, Corporate Leadership, Nonviolent Economy and some other
issues based on nonviolence and peace, this volume is intended to discern his principles at a different altitude.

The objective of this collection of essays is to promote Gandhian values and to highlight its relevance and prevalence in all aspects of life. The implications of his principles in today‘s world are incredible not to mention the conflicts and issues that were not even present in the era of Mahatma Gandhi.

Currently in this edition, the book includes the following topics: ―Service to humanity, ―Truth Experiments, ―Gandhian methods and public upsurge, ―Relevance of Gandhi in foreign relations, ―Is passive resistance really political?, ―The role of journalism in Gandhism, ―What corruption means to Gandhi, ―Where is God?, ―Everything is in you, ―On looking at the masses, ―Prayer.

All these topics portray the appalling revelations of Gandhism in today‘s context and its importance for maintaining peace and harmony in one‘s life.

Gandhi during and after his life and his followers. ―"What corruption means to Gandhi?" clarifies certain presumptions on corruption in the nation and eradicating it through various measures. ―"Where is God?" searches for God within the Gandhian framework. ―"Everything is in you" is an inspiring commentary on self-empowerment and self-esteem. ―"On looking at the masses" is an advocacy on Gandhian approach in controlling population explosion. ―"Prayer" discovers the importance of prayers in one‘s life. ―"The zeal of love" elucidates the effects of love and how it influences the world.
