Corporate history since the Industrial Revolution has been an enormous growth in freedom of enterprise, economic prosperity, innovation, and technical and intellectual advancement. We are looking at the capability model in the industry. But, it has also furthered the stoking of greed, a slow and sure decay of morality and social order culminating in high unemployment. This is the cause of instability.

Women's Empowerment is brought in as the critical factor for the sustainability of stability. This work elaborates on SDG Goal. #5 Gender Equality where women play a pivotal role in all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life, whereas instability is brought to the fore with Keynes' Animal Spirits.

A reality check of Industrial Revolutions from I 1.0 to I 4.0 is an eye-opener to the world economy for what the ecosystem has done. Taking the case study of Volkswagen the causality of corporate stability to instability, the stable and unstable conditions are extensively analyzed. Volkswagen is a good study highlighting how fiscal responsibility is essential for corporate stability but sustaining it on a longer-term, ethical cum- co-responsibility factors are critical. The study concludes the critical area of ethical -cum- co-responsibility is totally dependent on Women's Empowerment.

About the Author

Jayaraman Rajah Iyer, Chartered Accountant, ICAI-1966, has a unique insight into corporate management practices, culled from experience across the globe. His book Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability: Measuring Intangible, fiscal, and ethical assets is an empirical research study of corporate management.

Further, he elaborated the book by way of Podcast Episodes bringing the Practice of Management as a critical factor for establishing a Corporate Management Operating System. Constructing Values and deconstructing what is valueless, CorporateMOM - Sustainability of Corporate Stability, his second book, is one of its kind.

He considers SDG Goal #5 Gender Equality, will make a tectonic shift in the corporate management plate. Women's Empowerment is an act of organizational policy whereas Women's Equity is what a Woman earns, he explains. He points out women's capability model and entrusting with them the additional responsibility of ethical-cum-co-responsibility factors within an organization would stabilize corporate to no end. For he says women are well capable of undertaking the responsibilities, undoubtedly the only from humankind.

Women's Empowerment triggers the changes in societal good and recording of societal status ex-post-facto has no relevance, he says. The qualitative and quantitative elements of management, qualitative constitute 94% whereas quantitative elements are just about 6%. CorporateMOM resolves the paradox.
