The canto reveals how earthly existence adhering to Dharma is a hazardous uphill task. It is very demanding and perilous, posed by countless barricades, risks and enemies acting as a retarding force towards progress and success. It requires moral propriety, presence of mind, outstanding calibre and agility to deal with the uneven terrain of life’s journey.
