Maidhili, writing as Myly, is a high school student and the author and illustrator of Where Fireflies Come to Die. Written and visually organised from the perspective of a young artist, her debut work dives deep into the complex emotional landscapes of love, hope, ambition, and grief, while capturing a yearning for life and rebirth. She writes about the raw nature of humanity paired with a desperate attempt for a better future.

Based in Kerala, she balances her school life with a love for the tactile world, frequently engaged in exploring various crafts or shuffling through an ever-growing pile of books.
