Description

Questions about India that nobody asked

We take living in India, the oldest and greatest civilisation in the world, for granted without ever pondering over basic questions about our beloved motherland.
India — despite rarely being a real entity — has survived for over 5,000 years. Who carved out this huge nation out of thin air?
A few empires did spring up in India’s past which covered large parts of India but their cumulative time period is negligible in the overall perspective of India’s long history of five millennia.
While the present outline of India emerged at the time of Independence in 1947, the boundary of our nation in the ancient and the medieval eras has been much larger. How big was India?
Did some “behind-the-scenes” group plan and execute their vision called India into reality?
‘The nation that sages built’ brings to light a missing chapter in Indian history — one without which our understanding of India’s past would remain incomplete...
