We have heard the stories since childhood — Ravana's pride, Dhritarashtra's blindness of attachment, Karna's hunger for recognition, Arjuna's despair on the battlefield. But have we ever paused to ask why these stories echo so deeply within us?
Manushya, Mithak aur Moksha is not a retelling of Indian mythology. It is a search for our own story hidden inside those myths. Twelve characters, Ravana, Dhritarashtra, Duryodhana, Karna, Arjuna, Ashwatthama, Draupadi, Hanuman, Savitri, Ram, Krishna and Shiv, are examined at three levels: Story → Symbol → Self-reflection. Each chapter begins with the character's tale, moves to its symbolic meaning, and then turns the mirror on the reader with a direct question and a short practice, so that reading becomes an act of seeing oneself.
The final section, Moksha, draws on the Gita and the Mahabharata to reflect on karma, renunciation and attachment, dharma versus desire, death, the self, and liberation, and asks whether moksha is something that comes after death, or something possible within life itself.
This book is for readers who have already read the Puranas, but have not yet read themselves.
