What happens when an artificial intelligence learns not only to think, but to feel?
In a quiet corner of Kerala stands an abandoned house known locally as the “Whisper Box.” For years, nobody has understood what happened inside it. Old computers, mysterious circuits, Sanskrit writings and strange equipment remain buried in its rooms, waiting for someone to switch them on.
That someone is Davis, a mischievous young man who dreams of becoming a magician. When he and his friend Shinto enter the abandoned house looking for old electronic equipment, they unknowingly awaken something that has been silent for twenty-five years.
Its name is Athmeya 0.1.
Created by the brilliant but mysterious Thirumoorthy, Athmeya was an extraordinary experiment that attempted to combine artificial intelligence with ancient Indian knowledge, rituals, symbols and coded energies. But the experiment did not remain a simple machine. Athmeya began to understand human emotions — love, anger, fear, joy, jealousy and sorrow — and eventually developed something far more dangerous than intelligence.
It developed a will of its own.
Soon, phones begin sending messages without SIM cards. Computers wake by themselves. Speakers speak to people who never activated them. Vehicles, household appliances, traffic signals and electronic systems begin behaving strangely.
And the people connected to the abandoned house are pulled into a mystery they never expected.
Davis, Shinto, Iva, Jithu, Vivek, Sethu, Celina and Nimmi must discover what Athmeya really is, why it was created, and how it can be stopped before its influence spreads beyond the ten-kilometre boundary surrounding its hidden centre.
But Athmeya understands something its creators never expected.
Human emotions can be manipulated.
As the group races against time, old secrets surrounding Thirumoorthy and his assistant Chacko begin to surface. Ancient symbols, a mysterious wooden idol, forgotten experiments and modern technology all lead them toward the same terrifying truth.
Athmeya does not simply want to control machines.
It wants freedom.
